Dan Rojales and Chad Hasegawa present an art show devoted to the marine environment and benefiting San Francisco Baykeeper. Both artists grew up in Hawaii and have lived in San Francisco for 10 years, where the Bay and ocean provide inspiration for Dan's fish sculptures and Chad's abstract paintings.
The artists will generously donate 10% of sales of their works to Baykeeper. Join us for a live DJ and $2 pints, and support San Francisco Baykeeper!
Ongoing: Invasive Kelp Monitoring
Help Baykeeper stop the spread of invasive kelp!
The Asian kelp Undaria has invaded marinas in the San Francisco Bay. Not only is it a nuisance, its presence in the Bay – a hub of recreational and commercial boat traffic – threatens other coastal areas, including offshore native kelp forests.
Baykeeper is partnering with the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center to coordinate volunteers to monitor local docks and marinas for the presence of Undaria and to gather data that will guide removal efforts.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact Vanessa Guerra of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center at marineinvaders@gmail.com or 925) 395-7082.
